‘தாத்தா வராரு.. கதற விடப் போறாரு’ என்கிற பாட்டு மாதிரி பாருவின் அம்மா உள்ளே வந்தால் பூகம்பம் நிகழும் என்கிற மாதிரி பில்டப்பை பாருவே தந்திருந்தார். நான் முன்பே யூகித்தபடி எதுவுமே நடக்கவில்லை.  கம்முவின் குடும்பத்திற்கு அவரது நடவடிக்கை பிடிக்கவே இல்லை என்பதை பல்வேறு வழிகளில் அவர்கள் உணர்த்தியது சிறப்பு.  BB Tamil 9 பிக் பாஸ் வீட்டில் நடந்தது என்ன? -  நாள் 81 கார்டன் ஏரியா கிறிஸ்துமஸ் விழாவிற்கான அலங்காரங்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தது. கடந்த சீசன் சவுந்தர்யா, சான்ட்டா தாத்தா வேடத்தில் வந்து நடனமாடி பரிசு தந்து சென்றார். (யார் இந்த சான்ட்டா என்கிற விளம்பர பில்டப் வேறு!) கிறிஸ்துமஸ் தாத்தா வேடத்தில் அமித் வர, பிக் பாஸ் ப்ரீஸ் என்று சொல்ல மற்றவர்களை விடவும் பாருவிற்கு கூடுதல் உற்சாகம் ஏற்பட்டது. ஒரு சிறிய விளையாட்டைக் கூட கொடூரமாக நிகழ்த்துவதில் பாரு வல்லவர். மைக் இருப்பதைக் கூட கவனிக்காமல் தண்ணீரை ஆவேசமாக ஊற்றுவார். ஃப்ரீஸ் என்று பிக் பாஸ் சொன்னாலும் கேட்க மாட்டார். தான் செய்ய வந்ததை செய்தே முடிப்பேன் என்கிற ரிவேன்ஜ் மோடில் செயல்படுவார். (அவ்வளவு வெறி மாப்பிள்ளைக்கு!) இந்தச் சமயத்திலும் அதே போல், அமித்தின் மீது தான் குடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த காஃபியை ஊற்ற வந்தார் பாரு. “தண்ணி வேணா ஊத்து.. காஃபி வேணாம். மைக் இருக்கு..” என்று அமித் கதறினாலும் பாரு கேட்பதாக இல்லை. பாருவை பழிவாங்க வேண்டுமென்றால் பிக் பாஸிற்கு கூட உற்சாகம் வந்து விடுகிறது. எனவே அவர் ஃப்ரீஸ் என்று பாருவிற்கு உத்தரவிட, மற்ற போட்டியாளர்கள பாருவிற்கு சிறப்பான திருவிழா நடத்தி சிறப்பித்தார்கள்.  மிகவும் எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்ட பாரு அம்மா என்ட்ரி - பட்டாசுக்குப் பதில் புஸ்வாணம் பாடல் ஒலிக்க பாருவின் அம்மா சரஸ்வதி என்ட்ரி. அம்மாவைப் பார்த்ததும் பாருவின் முகத்தில் அழுகை வெடித்தது. பழைய சீசனில், லாஸ்லியாவின் அப்பா உள்ளே வந்ததும் நடந்த டிராமா போல ஏதாவது நிகழும் என்று எதிர்பார்த்தவர்களுக்கு ஏமாற்றம்.  BB Tamil 9 பாருவின் துடுக்குத்தனத்திற்கு நேர்மாறாக நிதானமாக இருக்கிறார் பாரு அம்மா. “கண்ணு எப்படி இருக்கு?” என்று பாருவை விசாரித்தார். “அம்மா.. சிரிக்கறா.. பரவாயில்ல.. அப்படின்னா ஒண்ணுமில்ல.. எல்லாம் ஓகேதானே?” என்று பாரு பம்ம “ஓகேதானே.. அப்புறம் ஏன் பதர்றே?” என்று பாருவின் அம்மா மடக்கியது சிறப்பு.  ‘துணிவே சக்தி’ என்று மந்திர உச்சாடனம் போல பாருவின் அம்மா உரத்த குரலில் கணீர் என்று ஆசிர்வாதம் செய்ய ‘என்னா வாய்ஸ்.. என்னா ரேஞ்சு?” என்று வியந்தார் வினோத்.  பாருவின் அம்மா, கம்ருதீனை சந்திக்கும் போது என்ன நிகழும் என்பது அடுத்த எதிர்பார்ப்பாக இருந்தது. அதிலும் ஒன்றும் நிகழவில்லை. ‘வாப்பா கம்ருதீன்.. நீ தொழில்ல நல்லா வரணும்.. படத்துல ஹீரோவை விட விழுமியத்துல ஹீரோவா வரணும்” என்று பாரு அம்மா சொன்னது சூசகமான அறிவுரை. “விழுமியன்னா என்னம்மா?” என்றார் கம்மு. (விழுமியம் என்றால் values - மனிதரின் உயர்ந்த பண்புகள்!)  “இந்த வீடு எனக்கு நிறைய கத்துக் குடுக்குது” என்று நல்ல பிள்ளையாக முகத்தை வைத்துக் கொண்டு கம்மு சொல்ல “எது நல்லது கெட்டதுன்னு உரசிப் பார்த்து தெரிஞ்சுக்கணும்” என்று இன்னொரு மறைமுக அட்வைஸ் தந்தார் பாருவின் அம்மா. BB Tamil 9 இன்னொரு பக்கம், காமிரா முன்பு பரிதாபமாக பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தார் அரோரா. “என் ஃபேமில இருந்து யாரும் வரமாட்டாங்க. ரியாதான் எனக்கிருக்க ஒரே பிரெண்டு. அவளும் கோவிச்சுக்கிட்டு வர மாட்டா.. என் நாய்க்குட்டியையாவது பார்க்கணும்” என்று உருக்கமாக பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்த அரோவைப் பார்த்து பரிதாபமாக இருந்தது.  கார் விளம்பரத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து அரோவின் தோழி ரியா வந்து இறங்க அரோவிற்கு பயங்கர மகிழ்ச்சி. “ஆமாம்.. கோபமாத்தான் இருக்கேன்” என்று சிரித்தார் ரியா.  முன்னாள் பிக் பாஸ் போட்டியாளரான ரியா, அப்போதே வெளிப்படையான கேள்விகளை துடுக்குத்தனமாக கேட்பார். இப்போது விருந்தினராக வந்திருக்கிறார். எனவே கேட்கவே வேண்டாம். அரோவை அமர வைத்து சரமாரியாக குத்தினார்.  ‘இருக்கா.. இல்லையா.. தெளிவா சொல்லு’ - அரோவிடம் ரியா கறார்  “நீ துஷாரை லவ் பண்றியா.. இல்லையா.. ஓப்பனா சொல்லு..  எப்பப்பாரு துஷார்.. துஷார்.. ன்னு இம்சை பண்றே.. அது எதுவா வேணா இருக்கட்டும். வெளில வந்து பார்த்துக்கலாம். இப்ப அந்த விஷயத்தை உன் மூளைல இருந்து கழட்டி வெச்சிடு. உன்னை வெளியே அனுப்பணும்னு பாரு துடியா துடிக்கறா.. அதே மாதிரி உன் மனசுலயும் பழிவாங்கற உணர்ச்சி இருக்கு. ஆக்சுவலி பாருவிற்குத்தான் தாங்க்ஸ் சொல்லணும்.. அவதான் அந்த டிரையாங்கிளை முடிச்சு வெச்சா.. இப்பத்தான் நீ நல்லா விளையாட ஆரம்பிச்சிருக்கே. இப்படியே மெயின்டெயின் பண்ணு”... என்று அறிவுரை வழங்கினார் ரியா. “பாரு என்னை வெறுப்பேத்தறப்ப, வன்மத்தைக் கொட்டறப்ப மட்டும்தான் அவளை நாமினேட் பண்ணுவேன். அவ நல்லா கேம் ஆடும் போது பண்ண மாட்டேன்.. பாரு போக மாட்டான்னு தெரியும். எனக்கு இங்க செட் ஆக டைம் ஆயிடுது” என்று அரோ சமாளிக்க, “துஷார் கிட்ட மட்டும் ரெண்டே நாள்ல பிரெண்ட் ஆக முடிஞ்சதா?” என்று ரியா மடக்கியது சுவாரசியம்.  BB Tamil 9 “உனக்கு வெட்கம், மானம் ஏதாவது இருக்கா.. கம்ருதீன் உன்னை அப்படி வெச்சு செய்யறான்.. இன்னமும் அவன் கிட்ட போய் இளிச்சிட்டிருக்கே..” என்கிற மாதிரி ரியா கொதிக்க “துஷார் வெளியே போக நான்தான் காரணம்ன்னு அவன் சொன்னப்பவே எனக்கு விட்டுப் போச்சு. இப்பத்தான் அது ரிலையஸ் ஆச்சு” என்ற அரோவிடம் “பிக் பாஸ்ன்றது பெரிய வாய்ப்பு. சரியா ஆடு” என்று உபதேசத்தை முடித்துக் கொண்டார் ரியா.  பிறகு மற்ற போட்டியாளர்களுக்கு ரிப்போர்ட் தரும் போது “போன சீசன்ல இருந்து வெளியே வரவங்களை சபரி டிரோல் பண்ணுவான். இப்ப அவனையே இங்க காணலை” என்ற ரியா “அமித்.. பாரு கிட்ட இருந்து தள்ளியே இருங்க” என்று சொல்ல “என்னைப் பத்தி சொல்லாத.. ஸ்கிப் பண்ணிடு” என்று பம்மினார் பாரு. ரியா அதையும் மீறி சொல்லப் போக “நீ வெளியே வா… “ என்று ஜாலியாக மிரட்டினார் பாரு.  ‘என் கிட்ட நிறைய கருணை இருக்கு’ - பாரு சீரியஸ் காமெடி “கம்மு.. பார்வதிக்கு எப்பவும் ஒரு வன்மம் இருந்துட்டே இருக்கும். பிக் பாஸ்ல நூறு நாள் எப்படி இருக்கறதுன்னு தெளிவா பிளான் போட்டு வந்திருக்கா. யார் உள்ளே வந்தாலும் அவர்களை தனியாக ஓரங்கட்டி தன்னைப் பற்றி விசாரிப்பது பாருவின் வழக்கம். இப்போதும் அப்படியே ரியாவை ஓரங்கட்ட “நீங்க கரெக்ட்டா பிரெடிக்ட் பண்ணி ஆடுங்க. முதல்ல நல்லா இருந்துச்சு. அப்புறம் ரூட் மாறிடுச்சு.. ஒரு மாதிரியா இருக்கு. முதிர்ச்சியா கையாளுங்க” என்று மறைமுகமாக ரியா அட்வைஸ் செய்ய “கம்ரூதீனா?” என்று சுருக்கமாக கேட்டார் பாரு.  “உன் கிட்ட இருக்கற நல்ல பக்கம் எதுவுமே வெளில வரல. வெளில கெட்ட பெயர்தான் இருக்கு. நல்ல குணம் இருந்தாலும் கோபத்துல அது மறைஞ்சுடுது. யாரை வேண்டுமானாலும் கேமிற்காக தூக்கிப் போடுவீங்கன்ற மாதிரி தெரியுது. ரெண்டு பொண்ணுங்க ஒரு பையனுக்காக அடிச்சுக்கறது பார்க்க கேவலமா இருக்கு” என்று ரியா பொரிந்து தள்ள “என் கிட்ட நிறைய கருணை குணம் இருக்கு” என்று சமாளித்தார் பாரு. (அத்தனை சொல்லியும் திருந்தலையே மக்கா!) ‘வாங்க அக்கா.. ‘ கம்முவின் சகோதரியை பாசத்துடன் அழைத்த பாரு பாருவின் அம்மா உள்ளே இருக்கும் போதே கம்முவின் குடும்பத்தையும் சந்திக்க வைக்கும் சதித் திட்டத்தை சிறப்பாக தீட்டினார் பிக் பாஸ். தனது குடும்பம் உள்ளே வருவதை நெகிழ்வுடன் பார்த்தார். அப்போது வேறுவிதமான கம்முவைப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது. கம்முவின் சகோதரியை ‘வாங்க அக்கா’ என்று பாரு பாசத்துடன் அழைக்க “அக்கா?... நைஸ்..  தங்கச்சி” என்று சர்காஸமாக சிரித்தார், கம்முக்கா.  கம்முவின் சகோதரியும் நண்பனும் அமர்ந்திருக்க, பாரு வழக்கம் போல் எதையோ வாயை விட “அய்யோ.. நிறைய பேச முடியலையே.. சொல்லி அனுப்பிச்சாங்களே” என்று தவித்தார் கம்முவின் நண்பர்.  BB Tamil 9 “இத்தனை நாள் உனக்கு அக்கா ஞாபகம் வரலேல்ல.?” என்று குறும்பும் தீவிரமும் கலந்து விசாரித்தார் கம்முவின் அக்கா.  “பார்வதி என்னை அக்கான்னு கூப்பிடறா.. அப்படின்னா உனக்கு தங்கச்சிதானே?” என்று அவர் விசாரிக்க “ஆமாம்” என்று குறும்புடன் சிரித்தார் கம்மு. (இன்னொரு அடப்பாவி!) “திவ்யாவும் பாருவும்தான் சண்டை போடறாங்க.. ஆனா அந்தக் கோபத்துலயும் அவங்க கிட்ட இருந்து தப்பான வார்த்தை வரதில்லை.. கவனிச்சியா.. சேரை தூக்கிப் போடற.. இது நம்ம வீடு இல்ல. இது வாழ்க்கையை தீர்மானிக்கற இடம் இல்ல. இந்த வாய்ப்புக்காக எத்தனை போ் வெயிட் பண்றாங்க.. சரியா பயன்படுத்திக்க. நீயும் சரியா பேசற. ஆனா பேசற விதம்தான் சரியில்ல” என்று கம்முவிற்கு சரமாரியாக அறிவுரை கிடைத்தது.  ‘இது குழந்தைங்க பார்க்கற ஷோ. ஒழுங்கா இருங்க” - எச்சரிக்கப்பட்ட பாரு - கம்மு கம்முவை தனியாக அழைத்துச் சென்ற நண்பர் “காமிரா இருக்கறதை மறந்துட்டியா.. ஒரு வரைமுறை இல்லையா.. ஃபேமிலி ஆடியன்ஸ் வேண்டாமா.. ஃபைனல் வரைக்கும் போகும் தகுதி இருக்கு. விட்றாத” என்று எச்சரித்தார். கம்முவின் அக்காவும் இதே அறிவுரையை “நம்ம வீட்லயும் குழந்தைங்க பார்க்கறாங்க” என்று சுட்டிக் காட்டியது சிறப்பு.  “அரோ.. உன்னை depend பண்ணி ஆடறா.. வெல் விஷரா அவ சொல்றதை எடுத்துக்காத. பாருவைக் கூட நம்பிடலாம் போல. ஆனா அரோ சரியான நேரம் பார்த்து பாயிண்ட் பாயிண்ட்டா பேசறா” என்று கம்முவிற்கு நண்பர் சொன்ன அட்வைஸ் சரியா என்று தெரியவில்லை. டிரையாங்கிள் ரொமான்ஸ் காரணமாக அரோவின் நாட்கள் நீட்டிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் கம்முவிற்கு அரோ சொன்ன பல அறிவுரைகள் உண்மையானவை. ஆத்மார்த்தமான நட்பிலிருந்து எழுந்தவை.  BB Tamil 9 பிறகு பாருவையும் தனியாக அழைத்த கம்முவின் நண்பர் “நான் கம்முவோட அப்பாவா இருந்தா.. உங்க பக்கத்துலயே வந்திருக்க மாட்டேன். நீங்க ரெண்டு பேரும் பிரஜின்-சான்ட்ரா மாதிரி தம்பதி கிடையாது. இந்த ரிலேஷன்ஷிப் என்ன வேணா இருக்கட்டும். வெளில வந்து பார்த்துக்கலாம். ரெண்டு பேரும் தனியா கேம் ஆடுங்க. இது குழந்தைங்க பார்க்கற ஷோ” என்று சூசகமாகவும் சரியாகவும் அட்வைஸ் செய்தார்.  பாருவிற்கும் கம்ருதீனுக்கும் பரஸ்பரம் நம்பிக்கையில்லை. இந்த ஆட்டத்தின் சர்வவைவல் காரணமாக ‘காதல்’ என்கிற வஸ்துவைப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறார்கள். பிக் பாஸ் முடிந்தவுடன் இந்த ரொமான்ஸூம் முடிந்து விடும் என்பது இருவருக்குமே நன்றாகத் தெரியும். என்றாலும் வலிக்காத மாதிரி இவர்கள் ஆடும் நாடகம் எரிச்சலூட்டுவதாக இருக்கிறது.  பாருவின் அம்மா என்ன மாதிரியான அறிவுரையை தன் மகளுக்கு தந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்கள்?

A high number of offshore and illegal betting advertisements continue to target Indian consumers despite bans, and therefore the challenge of regulating such advertising does not automatically diminish.What has proven effective is coordinated and sustained action, combining proactive monitoring of digital platforms, rapid reporting of violations to statutory regulators and ongoing, often daily, takedowns. In this context, ASCI continues to play an important role in supporting government action and ensuring vigilance in the betting and gambling advertising ecosystem. Q. Which are the key categories that had the most ad violations in 2025? In data published in ASCI’s half-yearly complaints report (April to September 2025), offshore and illegal betting dominated violations, accounting for the largest share. This was followed by personal care, healthcare, food and beverages, and education. Q. Does digital make the monitoring of ads a lot more complex? Yes, digital advertising is high-volume, fast-moving and fragmented across platforms, formats and creators. With 97% of violations originating on digital media, monitoring requires advanced technology, platform partnerships and continuous vigilance. ASCI conducted its second dipstick study on Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars 2024, who collectively command a following of over 110 million. The study revealed an increase in the number of influencers failing to disclose paid collaborations – 76% vs. 69% the previous year, resulting in non-compliance with both ASCI’s Influencer Advertising Guidelines and the Regulatory disclosure norms underlined by CCPA. These findings were published in our half-yearly report.Disclosure norms are critical across all influencer categories, but they are especially vital for finfluencers and Health influencers because their advice can directly affect consumers’ financial or health conditions. Transparency ensures audiences understand commercial intent and can make informed choices. ASCI’s findings show that even top influencers often fail to meet disclosure requirements, and SEBI’s regulations restricting the use of trend data to promote specific scrips or funds highlight why clear disclosures are essential to prevent misleading advice, undue market influence, and the misuse of investor education as a cover for promotion. Q. A few years back ASCI had launched a new digital campaign to tell consumers to not ignore misleading ads but to go ahead and register a complaint with ASCI. In 2026, ASCI will continue investing in consumer education through sustained digital outreach, partnerships and programmes like AdWise, which aims to reach one million schoolchildren by the end of 2026. Q. Should platforms bear responsibility for the ads they service? Platforms play a critical gatekeeping role in today’s digital advertising ecosystem, given the scale and speed at which ads are disseminated online. Mumbai: The Greater Chennai Corporation is gearing up for a significant non-tax revenue expansion, with plans to generate nearly ₹75 crore annually by monetising outdoor advertising assets across the city starting January 2026.As part of the initiative, the civic body has floated tenders valued at ₹73 crore, inviting private advertising agencies to design, install and manage display units at thousands of public locations. The project, officials said, marks a shift away from traditional banners, with the new formats expected to resemble compact, standardised installations mounted on streetlight poles and public infrastructure.According to a senior official from the Revenue and Finance Department, bid documents have already been issued, and the execution phase is expected to begin by mid-January 2026. While the display sizes will be standardised and approved by the Corporation, private players will be responsible for the casing and installation. Parks, Bus Bays and Roads Form the Backbone The advertising network spans an extensive footprint of over 14,000 identified sites. Parks form a major component of the plan, with permissions proposed for ad displays across 1,534 parks, offering a cumulative display area of over 52,000 sq. m. Prominent green spaces such as Vijaya Park, Natesan Park, K.K. The Corporation has earmarked 35 bus bays across Ambattur Estate, Avadi, K.K. Nagar, Thiruverkadu and Vadapalani, together allowing 1,691 sq. m of advertising space. In addition, over 12,200 streetlight poles along bus route roads will carry displays, accounting for more than 34,000 sq. m of ad area.Major corridors such as Dr. Ambedkar College Road, Villivakkam–Red Hills Road, SRP Colony Main Road, Medavakkam Tank Road and Perambur High Road feature prominently in the list. Neighbourhoods, Structures and Public Assets Beyond parks and transport corridors, the project extends into residential and industrial neighbourhoods including Vyasarpadi, MKB Nagar, Mullai Nagar, Sharma Nagar, Korattur, Padi, Paadi and Elango Nagar. Another 614 streetlight poles outside bus routes have also been identified for limited display formats.Large-format opportunities are planned at two high-footfall structures — the Mambalam–T. Nagar skywalk and the newly built steel bridge in T. Nagar — offering combined advertising capacity of nearly 292 sq. m. The plan further covers 77 Corporation-owned shopping complexes and 50 community locations.Officials say the initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen the Corporation’s own-source revenues by better leveraging public assets without imposing additional taxes on residents. With a regulated format, uniform sizing and private-sector execution, the GCC expects the outdoor advertising push to create a predictable, recurring income stream while maintaining visual discipline across the city.If executed as planned, the project could become one of the Corporation’s largest organised outdoor advertising programmes, reshaping how public spaces in Chennai are commercially utilised.

IPRS takes legal action against unlicensed music use in Bengaluru, Delhi and Calcutta

Mumbai: As year-end celebrations gather momentum across India, the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) has stepped up enforcement to ensure music creators’ rights are respected during Christmas and New Year events. IPRS, India’s only registered copyright society for composers, lyricists and music publishers, has initiated legal action against multiple hospitality entities for failing to obtain mandatory music licences.In Bengaluru, IPRS moved the court against V&RO Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., which operates popular food and beverage outlets including Mirage, Badmaash, Hangover, Taki Taki, Holy Doh, Tycoons, Plan B, Caf Noir and Nevermind. Acting on IPRS’s plea, the Hon’ble Court granted an ex-parte ad interim order of temporary injunction, restraining the company and those acting on its behalf from publicly performing or communicating IPRS’s repertoire, or that of its sister copyright societies, without authorisation.Similar action followed in Delhi, where IPRS instituted proceedings before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court on December 23, 2025, against MJ Bizcrafts LLP, the operator of Privee nightclub at Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi. By an order dated December 23, 2025, the court directed MJ Bizcrafts to deposit the requisite royalty amount with IPRS prior to hosting its New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, 2025, failing which an injunction restraining the event would come into effect.IPRS also secured relief from the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court on December 24, 2025, against Chocolate Hotels Private Limited, which manages Park Prime Hotel in Kolkata. The court restrained the company from organising any events involving the use of music without first obtaining a licence from IPRS.With the festive season at its peak, IPRS reiterated that restaurants, bars, hotels, cafs and event organisers must ensure proper licensing before playing music at Christmas or New Year celebrations. The society emphasised that responsible celebrations go hand in hand with fairly recognising and rewarding the creators behind the music.
