கோவை, மதுரை மெட்ரோ ரயில் திட்டங்களுக்கு முட்டைக்கட்டை போடுவதாக மத்திய பாஜக அரசை கண்டித்து கோவையில் திமுக தலைமையிலான மதசார்பற்ற முற்போக்கு கூட்டணி சார்பில் கண்டன ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. அப்போது செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசிய முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் செந்தில் பாலாஜி, “பாஜக ஆளும் மாநிலங்களில் திட்ட அறிக்கைக்கு 5 மாதங்களில் அனுமதி வழங்கப்படுகிறது. செந்தில் பாலாஜி ஆனால், தமிழகத்திற்கு மட்டும் அற்பமான காரணங்களை கூறி நிராகரித்துள்ளனர். விளக்கங்கள் கேட்டிருந்தால் தமிழக அரசு பதிலளித்திருக்கும். கோவை மக்களை வஞ்சிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக இப்படி செய்துள்ளனர். கடந்த 2021 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் கோவையில் உள்ள 10 தொகுதிகளிலும் அதிமுக - பாஜக கூட்டணியை தான் மக்கள் வெற்றி பெற வைத்தனர். அப்படிப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு கூட மெட்ரோ திட்டத்தை கொடுக்க மோடி அரசுக்கு மனமில்லை. விரிவான திட்ட அறிக்கையில் சந்தேகம் இருந்தால் அதை கேட்க 15 மாதங்கள் அவகாசம் தேவையில்லை. செந்தில் பாலாஜி பாஜக அரசு மூன்றாவது முறையாக அமைந்து தமிழ்நாட்டில் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட சிறப்பு திட்டங்கள் என்ன. மெட்ரோ ரயில் திட்டம் நமக்குத் தேவை. அதற்கு மத்திய அரசு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்க வேண்டும். அதிமுக நீட் தேர்வு  மசோதாவை வருட கணக்கில் மறைத்தார்கள். அப்படி நாங்கள் எதையும் மறைக்கவில்லை. சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலிலும் ஜீரோ மக்கள் தொகைக் கணக்கெடுப்பை மத்திய அரசுதான் எடுக்க வேண்டும். அவர்கள் ஏன் எடுக்கவில்லை. 15 மாதங்களுக்கு பிறகு இப்போதுதான் இந்த காரணத்தை கண்டறிந்து நிராகரித்துள்ளனர். தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் கோவையிலும், மதுரையிலும் மெட்ரோ ரயில் திட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்துவார். இங்கு மெட்ரோ ரயில் வந்தே தீரும். திமுக போராட்டம் இந்தியாவில் எத்தனை மாநிலங்களில் மெட்ரோ திட்டத்திற்கான விரிவான அறிக்கை நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தமிழகம் வளர்ந்து விடக்கூடாது என்கிற குறுகிய மனநிலை தான் காரணம். இதனால்தான் நாடாளுமன்ற தேர்தலில் இவர்கள் கணக்கு ஜீரோவாக இருந்தது. சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலிலும் அதே கணக்கு தொடரும்.” என்றார்.

கோவை மாவட்டம், வால்பாறை ரொட்டிக்கடை பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த சக்திவேல் – வத்சலகுமாரி தம்பதிக்கு இரண்டு பெண் குழந்தைகள் இருந்தனர். மூத்த மகள் சஞ்சனா அங்குள்ள அரசு உயர் நிலைப் பள்ளியில் 9-ம் வகுப்பு படித்து வந்தார். அந்தப் பள்ளியில் உள்ள ஆசிரியர்கள் மாணவியை மனரீதியாக துன்புறுத்தியதாக புகார் எழுந்தது. வால்பாறை மாணவி குறித்து பெற்றோரிடம் புகார் அளிப்போம் என்று ஆசிரியைகள் மிரட்டியதாக தெரிகிறது. இதில் மனமுடைந்த மாணவி கடந்த அக்டோபர் 10-ம் தேதி வீட்டில் இருந்த மண்ணெண்ணெயை உடலில் ஊற்றி தீக்குளித்துள்ளார்.  மாணவி 45 சதவிகிதம் தீக்காயங்களுடன் கோவை அரசு மருத்துவனையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்தார். கடந்த 35 நாள்களுக்கு மேலாக சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில், நேற்று சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி உயிரிழந்தார். இதுதொடர்பாக மாணவியின் வாக்குமூலம் வீடியோவாக பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. கோவை வால்பாறை பள்ளி மாணவி அதில் அவர், “ஆங்கில ஆசிரியர் என்னை அனைவரின் முன்பும் உருவ கேலி செய்தார். நான் நன்கு படிக்கும் மாணவி, என்னை சரியாக படிக்காத மாணவர்களுடன் அமர்ந்து படிக்க வைத்து மன உளைச்சலாக்கினர். தமிழ் ஆசிரியர், என் கன்னத்தில் அறைந்தார். அதை எல்லோரும் பார்த்தனர். அறிவியல் ஆசிரியரும் சரியாக படிப்பதில்லை வீட்டில் சொல்லிவிடுவேன் என மிரட்டினார். சின்ன காயம் ஏற்படும் நினைத்து இப்படி செய்தேன். இவ்வளவு பெரிய காயம் ஏற்படும் என்று நினைக்கவில்லை.” என்று கூறியுள்ளார். மரணம் இதுதொடர்பாக சக்திவேல் அளித்த புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் வால்பாறை காவல்துறையினர் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகிறார்கள். இந்த சம்பவம் வால்பாறையில் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
