இலங்கையில் வடமாகாணம் கல்வியை தொடர்ந்து சுற்றுலாத்துறையிலும் கடைசி இடத்தையே தக்கவைத்துன்ளது.இந்நிலையில் 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் வருகை 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் வருகையை முறியடித்து சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது. திருவனந்தபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இந்தியர் ஒருவர் இன்று பண்டாரநாயக்க சர்வதேச விமான நிலையத்தில் தரையிறங்கிய போது சாதனை முறியடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதற்கு முன்னர் வரலாற்றில் அதிகூடிய சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் வருகை தந்த ஆண்டான 2018 இல் பதிவாகியிருந்தது.2,3இலட்சம் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையை 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டினில் சுற்றுலாப் பயணி எண்ணிக்கையை தாண்டியதையடுத்து சாதனை நிலைநாட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. சுற்றுலாத்துறை இலங்கை பொருளாதாரத்தின் பிரதான தூணாகத் தொடர்ந்து நீடிப்பதுடன், வெளிநாட்டு செலாவணி வருவாய், வேலைவாய்ப்பு மற்றும் கலாசாரப் பரிமாற்றங்களுக்கு குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்களிப்பை வழங்குகிறது. எனினும் வடமாகாணசபையின் தூரநோக்கற்ற அதிகாரிகள் காரணமாக சுற்றுலாத்துறையில்; இலங்கையின் கடைசி மாகாணமாக வடமாகாணமுள்ளது.

செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டம், கிளாம்பாக்கம் காவல் நிலையத்துக்கு கண்ணீர்மல்க இளம்பெண்ணின் அம்மா ஒருவர் வந்தார். அவர், போலீஸாரிடம் `என் மகளை ஏமாற்றி சக்திவேல் என்ற இளைஞரும், 17 வயது சிறுவனும் கர்ப்பமாக்கிவிட்டனர்' எனக் கூறினார். இதையடுத்து சக்திவேலையும் 17 வயது சிறுவனையும் பிடித்து போலீஸார் விசாரித்தபோது, திடுக்கிடும் தகவல்கள் வெளியாகின. இது குறித்து கிளாம்பாக்கம் போலீஸார் கூறுகையில், ``செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 21 வயது இளம்பெண் ஒருவர், சற்று மனநலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர். அதனால் அந்தப் பெண்ணை வீட்டிலேயே வைத்து அவரின் குடும்பத்தினர் பராமரித்து வருகிறார்கள். இளம்பெண்ணின் குடும்பத்தினர் அனைவரும் வேலைக்குச் செல்பவர்கள் என்பதால், தனியாக இளம்பெண் வீட்டிலிருப்பார். அப்போது இளம்பெண்ணின் ஊரைச் சேர்ந்த சக்திவேல் என்ற இளைஞர், அடிக்கடி அவரிடம் பேசி பழகி வந்திருக்கிறார். அதேபோல 17 வயது சிறுவனும் அந்த இளம்பெண்ணடம் பழகி வந்திருக்கிறார். பாலியல் வன்கொடுமை இந்தநிலையில் இளம்பெண்ணிடம் ஆசைவார்த்தைகளைக் கூறிய சக்திவேலும் சிறுவனும், வீட்டில் யாரும் இல்லாத நேரத்தில் அவரைப் பாலியல் வன்கொடுமை செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். தனக்கு நடக்கும் கொடுமை என்னவென்று தெரியாமல் அந்த இளம்பெண் இருந்திருக்கிறார். இதையடுத்து சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு இளம்பெண்ணுக்கு வாந்தி, மயக்கம் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது. உடனே அவரை அருகில் உள்ள மருத்துவமனைக்கு குடும்பத்தினர் அழைத்துச் சென்றிருக்கிறார்கள். அப்போதுதான் அந்த இளம்பெண், மூன்று மாதம் கர்ப்பமாக இருக்கும் தகவலை மருத்துவர்கள் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்கள். அதைக் கேட்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த இளம்பெண்ணின் குடும்பத்தினர், அவரிடம் என்ன நடந்தது என்று விசாரித்திருக்கிறார்கள். அப்போது இளம்பெண், சக்திவேல், 17 வயது சிறுவன் ஆகியோரின் பெயர்களைக் கூறியிருக்கிறார். இதையடுத்து இளம்பெண்ணின் குடும்பத்தினர் எங்களிடம் புகாரளித்ததும் சக்திவேல், 17 வயது சிறுவன் ஆகியோரைப் பிடித்து விசாரித்தோம். விசாரணையில் சற்று மனநலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்ணிடம் தவறாக நடந்ததை இருவரும் ஒப்புக் கொண்டனர். இதையடுத்து அவர்களுக்கு மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை நடத்தப்பட்டது. அதேபோல பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இளம்பெண்ணுக்கும் மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை நடத்தியிருக்கிறோம். இளைஞர் சக்திவேல், சிறுவன் ஆகியோர் மீது மூன்று பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் வழக்கு பதிவுசெய்து சக்திவேலை சிறையில் அடைத்துள்ளோம். சிறுவனை சிறார் சீர்திருத்தப் பள்ளியில் சேர்த்துள்ளோம். தொடர்ந்து விசாரித்து வருகிறோம் என்றனர்.
